Richard William McCarthy, also known as Ric, age of 75, died peacefully at his home on 02/20/2023 at 5:37pm from complications resulting from a stroke.

He was born on September 15, 1947 in Canton, Ohio to Thomas Gavin and Kathryn Rose Rees McCarthy. He resided in Canton until the late 70’s when he decided to move to Texas.

He and his wife, Rebecca, were married on September 19, 1981, celebrated their 41 st anniversary this past September.

He loved motorcycles, classic cars and jewelry, especially watches.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, Robert Scott. Survivors include his wife, Rebecca; son Scott McCarthy and wife, Amber; Grand-daughter Madison McCarthy of Richardson; Grand-son Bruce McCarthy of Plano and Great grandson Phoenix. He is also survived by nieces Amy Pyle and her husband Will, niece Shaina Ressler and her husband Zack, niece Jennifer Blair and nephew Jared Jones.

Burial will be in Highland Memorial Cemetery in Terrell, Texas.
